Overview

About the Role:

A Financial Systems Analyst is a specialized finance/IT hybrid role responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting the systems that finance, and accounting teams rely on—such as ERP, financial reporting tools, budgeting software, and data integration platforms.

This role is critical in ensuring that financial operations are efficient, accurate, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

What You’ll Be Contributing

System Implementation & Maintenance

• Implement, configure, and maintain financial systems like Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Workday, or Adaptive Insights.
• Manage system upgrades, testing, and patches.

Process Improvement

• Analyze current financial workflows and identify ways to increase automation and efficiency.
• Translate finance needs into system solutions and enhancements.

Data Management & Integration

• Ensure accurate financial data flow across systems (ERP, CRM, payroll, etc.).
• Manage ETL processes and data integrity across platforms.

User Support & Training

• Serve as the go-to resource for finance system troubleshooting.
• Train finance and accounting teams on new tools or updates.

Reporting & Analysis

• Develop and support financial dashboards and reports (e.g., in Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle BI).
• Help finance leadership access key performance metrics and decision-support data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with IT, finance, accounting, HR, and operations to align systems with business needs.

Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Master’s or certifications (CPA, CFA, or systems-related like NetSuite Admin or SAP FI) can be a plus.

Experience

• 3–7+ years in finance, accounting, or IT systems roles.
• Hands-on experience with financial software and ERP platforms.

Technical Skills

• ERP systems: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday
• Reporting tools: Power BI, Tableau, Cognos
• Data tools: SQL, Excel (advanced), ETL platforms

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication (must liaise between finance and IT)
