Job summary

Certara is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting to balance SEC filings with internal management reporting. You will collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and Legal, supporting 10-Q/10-K processes and preparing monthly financial packages and KPI dashboards for leadership.

You will translate complex numbers into clear narratives for the board and executives, while ensuring SOX controls and process improvements across the reporting cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience with SEC exposure.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; exposure to XBRL is a plus.
• Experience building internal management reporting, board materials, or KPI dashboards.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/consolidation tools.

Responsibilities

• SEC & External Reporting: support quarterly/annual filings and external reports.
• Coordinate close and reporting timelines with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and auditors.
• Monitor SEC/FASB guidance and implement new disclosure requirements.
• Support external audit process and respond to auditor requests.
• Internal Management Reporting: prepare monthly/quarterly packages and variance analyses.
• Develop board-ready narratives and recurring BU KPI reporting.
