Spencer Ogden's New York Finance Practice is growing and seeks an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join a high-potential Finance & Private Capital desk on Wall Street. The role is 4 days in-office with 1 day WFH, offering a base salary of $60,000–$80,000 DOE plus uncapped commission, and is not a cold-start opportunity.

You will manage live mandates, source top finance professionals, and build market expertise across energy and infrastructure, with a clear ramp-up into business development

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of recruitment experience, ideally within finance, accounting, energy, infrastructure, or related specialist markets.
• Experience working permanent recruitment roles.
• Strong candidate delivery skills and ability to manage active mandates.
• Genuine sales mindset and interest in developing business.
• Confidence speaking with senior candidates and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, resilience, and commercial awareness.
• Competitive, financially motivated approach to sales

Responsibilities

• Deliver on live mandates across Finance & Private Capital, sourcing and headhunting mid-to-senior finance professionals.
• Build market knowledge to become a true Finance recruitment specialist in Energy & Infrastructure.
• Progress from delivery-led to client development, pitching new business and expanding your own client portfolio.
• Engage with CFOs, investment leaders, and senior decision-makers at top NYC clients in energy and infrastructure sectors
