Job summary

CGS Federal seeks an experienced Finance Project Manager to oversee financial and procurement services for a large federal agency initiative. You will manage workflows within the Office of Financial and Procurement Services and lead a small team of analysts.

Ideal candidates posses at least four years of supervisory experience in financial systems, strong communication with clients and attorneys, and solid knowledge of government data processing environments. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of progressively responsible supervisory/management experience in financial systems.
• Strong written and oral communication to interact with clients and attorneys.
• Ability to manage multiple complex, time-critical support activities simultaneously.
• Expert knowledge of finance systems including SAS; strong writing and management skills.
• Knowledge of government data processing environments, networks, databases, and applications.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing workflows in the Office of Financial and Procurement Services.
• Perform and oversee financial / procurement services.
• Frequently contact Government Case Managers and other DOJ agency staff.
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed.
• Oversee a small team of financial analysts.
• Perform an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work delivered on time.
• Train staff on entering and updating data in proprietary databases.

Qualifications

• At least four years of progressively more responsible supervisory and management experience in financial systems.
• Proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time‑critical support activities simultaneously.
• Expert knowledge of Finance Systems including SAS, outstanding writing skills, excellent oral communication skills, and excellent management skills.
• Knowledge of the Government's data processing environment, including office automation networks, PC‑based databases and other applications, and internet and server‑based databases and other applications.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Undergraduate degree.
• Law Degree desirable.
