Place Matters is seeking a Finance & Operations Associate Director to provide strategic leadership across finance, operations, risk, governance and compliance for multi-programme partnerships.
You will lead budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, maintain controls, and shape pricing and funding reviews while supporting HR, payroll and CRM systems. This is a part-time, hybrid role with UK travel and London meetings.
The Finance & Operations Associate Director will provide strategic and practical leadership across finance, organisational operations, risk, governance and compliance, helping Place Matters deliver complex programmes and partnerships effectively and sustainably.
Place Matters works with people and organisations to strengthen places, systems and communities. This senior role supports the organisation's mission by ensuring its financial and operational foundations are robust.
You will be a qualified accountant with senior experience in a multi-programme or partnership environment. You will bring strong financial and commercial judgement, experience of administrative systems and data protection, people-management capability and an understanding of charity governance. You will be an organised and collaborative leader who can communicate clearly, analyse complex information and work comfortably with ambiguity.
This is a permanent role working 22.5 hours per week, with a flexible pattern to be agreed. It is a negotiable hybrid role and includes London meetings, occasional evening or weekend work and up to eight days of UK travel per year excluding office attendance.
£39,000–£42,000 a year for 22.5 hours per week. The advertised full-time equivalent is £65,000–£70,000.
