Job summary

The University of South Carolina's Law School seeks a Finance and Operations Analyst to assist the Vice Dean for Finance and Business Operations in preparing the law school's budget and financial reports. You will monitor departmental activity and ensure adherence to budgets while analyzing new projects toward strategic goals.

You will oversee procurement matters, review grant proposals and financial reports, and collaborate with the Facilities Building Manager to address facilities concerns.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and communicate financial data accurately.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting and finance principles applied to reports.
• Ability to learn USC-specific systems and policies through training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Vice Dean in preparing the law school's budget and financial reports.
• Oversee and analyze departmental and program financial activity and ensure budget adherence.
• Assess progress toward strategic goals by creating and reviewing financial reports.
• Provide guidance on procurement within established university procedures.
• Review grant proposals and prepare grant financial reports.
• Collaborate with Facilities Building Manager on facilities matters not managed by Facilities.
