Job summary

Trupanion is seeking a Finance Operations Analyst in Seattle for a hybrid in-office/remote role. You will manage AP, AR, procurement, and commissions, ensuring processes align with GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

The role emphasizes data analysis, process improvement, and collaboration across the finance function. You will drive monthly and regulatory reporting, build relationships across teams, and support audits while advancing operating efficiencies within a high-performing Finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting/finance operations experience including AP, AR, and commissions.
• Experience with 1099 processing, state reporting, and Unclaimed Property is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure AP, AR, Procurement, and Commission processes are efficient, accurate, and GAAP-compliant.
• Calculate, validate, and process commissions based on sales and data.
• Oversee AP, AR, and Commission systems changes with testing and validation.
• Analyze AP, AR, and commissions data to support informed decisions.
• Lead initiatives to implement a procurement function.
• Partner cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvements.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist cash forecasting.

Job Description

This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week. Trupanion isseekinga detail-oriented and proactive Finance Operations Analyst to join our Accounts Payable team. In this role, you will ensure that Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Procurement, and Commission processes are efficient,accurate, and aligned with financial reporting requirements. This role requiresstrongaccounting knowledge,analyticalproblem-solvingskills,attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex operational processes.

As the Finance Operations Analyst, you willlead process improvement initiatives acrossthese functions, drive operational efficiencies, and support ongoingenhancementswhilefacilitatingrecurring monthly and regulatory reporting. You willbuild strong relationships across the organization and contribute to the continued growth and success of a high-performing Finance team.

Additional Information

Compensation:

• The base hourlyrange for this position is $33- $38on a full-time schedule.
• Along with base compensation, Trupanion employees are currently eligible for monthly bonuses.
• We want all employees to be invested inTrupanion’ssuccess, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
