Syntax Talent Solutions, LLC is seeking a Finance Manager to own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes in a hybrid New York environment. You will partner with senior leadership to drive strategic decisions and financial stability.

You’ll design robust planning frameworks, build advanced models, and deliver insightful analyses that inform critical choices and long-term growth strategies across multiple business entities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a finance management or senior FP&A role with responsibility for budgeting and forecasting.
• Demonstrated track record in strategic financial planning and supporting executive-level decision-making.
• Strong expertise in cash flow management and liquidity analysis.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining robust financial models.
• Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and collaborating across teams and functions.
• Experience with ERP and financial planning systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar).
• Background in process improvement and implementing best practices in FP&A.
• Exposure to corporate finance, capital allocation, or investment appraisal.
• Experience in a growth-oriented or multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts.
• Develop, maintain, and refine financial models to evaluate business scenarios.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on cash flow and liquidity.
• Prepare and present financial performance reports, variance analyses, and key metrics.
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insight and challenge assumptions.
• Enhance FP&A processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
• Use advanced Excel techniques to automate reporting and analysis.
• Support strategic planning with financial input and long-range projections.
