Job summary

Certus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for an established government contractor in El Paso, TX. The role reports to the CFO and is hands-on, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger activities and DCAA compliance.

You will lead monthly close, manage project cost accounting and supervise accounting staff while coordinating with external auditors. A CPA or progress toward certification is desirable, with a strong ERP and Excel skill set.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including government contractor experience.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS cost principles and DCAA compliance.
• Strong GL, reporting and analytical skills.
• Experience with indirect cost rates, cost pools and project cost accounting.
• Oversee reconciliations, month-end close and financial controls.
• Familiarity with ERP systems used in government contracting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, GL management and financial reporting.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for corporate and projects.
• Prepare financial reporting packages for board meetings.
• Manage cost pools, indirect rate calculations and DCAA compliance.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries and cost allocations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support CFO on ad hoc projects.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
