There's never been a better time to be in the business of helping founders build. We partner with growth-oriented companies as their outsourced accounting and fractional finance partner, and we're growing rapidly. Technology is enabling a new kind of accounting and finance firm - one that moves faster and thinks bigger. We're building something genuinely new, and it shows in how we work.
We're looking for someone who is strategic but hands‑on, analytically sharp but a clear communicator, and who finds real energy in going beyond the numbers to help founders make better decisions.
2. The role
You’ll be the financial thought partner our clients rely on: building the models, delivering the reporting, and asking the questions that help founders see around corners. You own the analysis, you understand the business behind it, and you communicate it in a way that drives decisions.
- Partner with founders and clients to build and maintain financial models that support strategic decision-making - three-statement models, scenario analysis, and unit economics
- Deliver monthly reporting packages with budget-to-actual analysis and variance commentary tailored to executive leadership, board, and investors
- Support clients rethinking commission plans, assessing customer acquisition costs, and evaluating the financial implications of key business decisions
- Lead chart of accounts design and structure in partnership with accounting teams, ensuring it's built to deliver meaningful insights without hindering timeliness and accuracy.
- Continuously improve model inputs, assumptions, and structure for added clarity and accuracy
3. Who we’re looking for
- You go beyond the numbers: you deliver insight, not just output, and connect the financial story to what's actually happening in the business
- You ask the next question and don't wait for direction when you see a better way forward
- You take relentless ownership of your work and hold yourself to a high standard
- You communicate complex ideas clearly to founders, board members, and non‑finance operators alike
- You're comfortable working independently but thrive in a collaborative team environment
4. Qualifications
- 5+ years of FP&A experience, including 2+ years supporting high‑growth startups or technology companies
- Strong understanding of financial statements, three‑statement modeling, and the US GAAP principles that drive the assumptions behind them
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accrual accounting, and how accounting entries flow through to the P&L and balance sheet
- Comfortable partnering with accounting teams and reviewing financials with enough GAAP fluency to catch what doesn't look right
- Experience with SaaS and technology KPIs - ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, burn rate, and runway
- Advanced Excel skills - able to build clean, efficient models from scratch and analyze large data sets
- CPA license or active pursuit is a plus
5. Logistics & comp
- Competitive base compensation
- Profit‑share annual bonus
- Health insurance, 401k plan, and monthly stipends for internet and cell phone
