Job description

Own the corporate finance work of a fast-growing renewable energy developer: the credit facilities that fund the platform, the valuation behind corporate transactions, and the capital structure decisions that sit above the projects. You will work directly with lenders, advisors and the sponsor, and shoulder to shoulder with the project finance side of the team whose structures feed straight into the corporate model you will own.

The company is a private equity backed developer of utility-scale solar and storage, well capitalized and moving quickly from developer into independent power producer, with projects in construction today and a multi-gigawatt pipeline behind them. The team is small enough that the work is broad and the distance between an analysis and a decision is short.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the corporate credit facilities day to day: covenant compliance and lender reporting, borrowing base mechanics, draw requests, and letters of credit for interconnection deposits and power purchase agreement security.
  • Run the processes that raise new corporate capital, from lender and investor approaches through term sheet negotiation into documentation and close.
  • Build and own the corporate financial model, consolidating capital structures at both corporate and project level into one view of liquidity, leverage and returns.
  • Value the platform, the portfolio and individual assets, and evaluate what different capital structure options do to cost of capital and to returns.
  • Support corporate mergers and acquisitions from initial screening through structuring, pricing, due diligence and close.
  • Prepare the analysis and the materials that management, the board and the sponsor use to make financing and transaction decisions.
Requirements
  • Four to six years in corporate finance, investment banking, or the corporate finance team of a developer or independent power producer.
  • Renewable energy or power markets experience is essential. Applicants without it will not be considered.
  • Hands‑on exposure to corporate debt: revolving and term facilities, covenants, borrowing base, and letters of credit.
  • Strong financial modeling, with real fluency in valuation and in how capital structures behave at both the corporate and the project level. Project debt and tax credit monetization should be familiar ground.
  • A four‑year degree, and the confidence to put a number in front of a lender or a board and defend it.
