We're partnered with a PE-backed renewable energy platform developing and financing utility-scale solar and storage assets across the US. The company has a strong track record of closing project-level debt and tax equity financings and continues to grow its project finance function to support an active multi-GW pipeline of late-stage and in-construction assets.
We're looking for a Manager – Sr. Manager, Project Finance to take ownership of financial modeling and transaction execution across debt financings and tax credit monetization structures. This is a high-visibility role on a high-output, transaction-oriented team, with direct exposure to lenders, tax equity investors, and senior leadership, and a clear path to increasing scope — including mentorship/management of junior team members and ownership of broader deal workstreams.
What You'll Do
- Lead development, updating, and management of fully structured (debt and tax equity) project-level and portfolio-level financial models across development, construction, and operations
- Own model inputs end-to-end, coordinating with internal SMEs to collect, refine, and validate data at each stage of a financing process
- Support structuring and execution of construction and term debt financings and tax credit monetization transactions (e.g. partnership flips, credit transfers, hybrid structures)
- Lead scenario, sensitivity, and downside analyses and synthesize results into clear recommendations for senior management
- Orchestrate financing due diligence processes, including data rooms, Q&A logs, and coordination of third-party reports (independent engineering, market, insurance, tax, legal)
- Coordinate with legal counsel on financing documentation, including credit agreements and tax equity documents
- Prepare marketing materials (teasers, CIMs) and lender/investor-facing presentations
- Serve as a key point of contact across Development, Engineering, Commercial, Accounting, Tax, and Legal teams during live transactions
- Review and mentor junior team members' modeling and analysis as scope expands
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of renewable energy project finance experience, preferably in utility-scale solar and/or BESS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or another quantitative field (Masters' a plus)
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, with best-practice project finance modeling knowledge
- Strong understanding of renewable project economics, value drivers, and key project documents
- Well-versed in construction-to-term debt, tax credit bridge loans, and current tax equity/tax credit monetization structures
- Experience managing external-facing due diligence, data rooms, and Q&A processes
- Comfort owning workstreams end-to-end in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
