Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, analysis, and control for a business unit. You will partner with functional leaders to drive performance, manage budget cycles, and lead month-end close with GAAP/IFRS compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in finance, strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills, and advanced Excel/financial modeling abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles or finance roles only including experience communicating complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Proficient Excel skills, and financial modeling experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Provide financial business partnering to functional leaders, offering insights and recommendations to drive performance and achieve financial targets.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.
• Conduct variance analysis, identifying key drivers and proposing corrective actions.
• Oversee and optimize financial processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Support strategic initiatives, including business case development, M&A due diligence, and integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management.
