Join our growing team of highly collaborative, ambitious, and forward-thinking Fountaineers as we empower our hundreds of customers and millions of frontline workers around the world.

Let’s elevate frontline work together.

About the Role

We're looking for a different kind of Finance Manager. Someone who understands FP&A inside and out, but believes the future of finance looks fundamentally different from how most companies operate today.

At Fountain, we're actively transforming our finance organization into an AI-native, agentic function. We're moving away from manual processes, disconnected systems, repetitive reporting and spreadsheet-heavy workflows toward a model where AI agents handle much of the operational work, allowing our team to focus on analysis, strategic decisions and driving business outcomes.

We need someone who can help us build that future. This isn't a traditional FP&A role with a few AI projects on the side. We're looking for a hands-on builder who can own core financial planning and analysis responsibilities while helping redesign how our entire finance organization operates.

You'll work directly with our Head of Finance and company leadership, with significant autonomy to identify opportunities, build solutions, challenge existing processes and drive meaningful change.

We're not looking for someone who wants to learn about AI. We're looking for someone who's already using it to fundamentally change how they work.

What You'll Do
1.Transform Finance Through AI & Automation
  • Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of our finance organization, identifying manual workflows, inefficiencies, disconnected systems and opportunities for agentic automation
  • Design, build, test and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows across FP&A, accounting, reporting and broader finance operations
  • Develop reusable agent skills, workflows and integrations that enable our finance systems to work together with minimal manual intervention
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive work, reduce operational costs, improve accuracy and accelerate execution
  • Help establish best practices for agent performance, human-in-the-loop controls, reliability, monitoring and continuous improvement
  • Optimize the economics of our AI infrastructure, including token consumption, model selection, execution efficiency and cost per workflow
  • Partner with Finance leadership to build a roadmap toward an increasingly autonomous finance organization
2. Own Core FP&A & Management Reporting
  • Own and continuously improve financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and key SaaS operating metrics
  • Build scalable, automated management reporting across the business, giving leadership timely, accurate and actionable visibility into performance
  • Develop and maintain reporting for ARR, revenue, retention, unit economics, departmental performance and other critical business KPIs.
  • Support board and investor reporting, including financial models, ARR waterfalls, cohort analysis and executive reporting
  • Own commission calculations, tracking and reconciliation, with a focus on automating the end-to-end process
  • Translate financial and operational data into clear insights that support better decision-making
  • Move reporting away from manual preparation toward automated, reliable and increasingly real-time insights
3. Connect Systems, Data & Workflows
  • Work across our finance technology stack, including Rillet, Runway, Airbase, Salesforce, Rippling and other operational platforms
  • Identify gaps in how data moves between systems and develop solutions that improve data integrity, accessibility and reporting
  • Build and improve integrations, automated reconciliations and cross-functional workflows
  • Help establish a trusted financial data foundation that supports both traditional reporting and AI-driven decision‑making
  • Continuously evaluate new AI tools, platforms and approaches that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Finance
4. Be a Hands-On Finance Operator
  • Roll up your sleeves and solve problems, whether that means building a financial model, investigating a reconciliation issue, developing an AI agent or redesigning an entire workflow
  • Partner closely with Accounting, Sales, Customer Success, People Operations and other teams to improve financial processes across the company
  • Challenge existing ways of working and proactively identify opportunities to do things faster, better and more efficiently
  • Take ownership of projects from identifying the problem through implementation, measurement and ongoing optimization
What We're Looking For
Must Have
  • A strong foundation in FP&A, corporate finance or finance operations, ideally within a SaaS or high‑growth technology company
  • Demonstrable, hands‑on experience building and deploying AI agents, agentic workflows or LLM‑powered automation in a real business environment
  • Recent experience actively using AI to automate meaningful portions of your own work or your team's workflows
  • Strong financial modeling skills and a solid understanding of SaaS metrics, financial reporting and management reporting
  • Technical fluency and comfort working with APIs, integrations, structured data, automation platforms and AI development tools
  • A track record of identifying inefficient processes and implementing solutions that deliver measurable improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and move quickly
  • A builder's mindset. You're naturally curious, resourceful, comfortable experimenting and willing to get into the details
Nice to Have
  • Experience with agent‑building frameworks, workflow orchestration platforms or AI development environments
  • Experience with Python, SQL or similar tools for data manipulation, automation and systems integration
  • Familiarity with modern finance platforms such as Rillet, Runway, Airbase, Ramp and Rippling
  • Experience building automated financial reporting, reconciliations, commission workflows or forecasting processes
  • Experience implementing AI governance, evaluation frameworks, human‑in‑the‑loop controls and monitoring
  • Experience working at an early‑stage or growth‑stage company where you've helped build processes from scratch
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days
  • Develop a deep understanding of our finance processes, systems, reporting and existing AI initiatives
  • Complete an initial gap analysis and identify the highest‑impact opportunities for automation
  • Begin delivering tangible improvements to existing finance workflows
First 90 Days
  • Deploy multiple production‑ready agentic workflows that meaningfully reduce manual finance work
  • Establish a prioritized roadmap for broader finance transformation
  • Improve the accuracy, speed and accessibility of management reporting
  • Demonstrate measurable gains in efficiency, automation and operating costs
First 6 Months
  • Help establish a finance organization where agents handle a meaningful share of recurring operational activities
  • Build a scalable library of reusable finance agent skills and automated workflows
  • Deliver a materially improved management reporting environment
  • Demonstrate measurable reductions in manual effort, reporting cycle times and AI execution costs
Who Will Thrive Here

You're probably the person on your current finance team who is constantly experimenting with AI, building automations and wondering why everyone is still doing things manually.

You understand finance deeply enough to know what good looks like, but you're not attached to the traditional ways of getting there.

You don't wait for an engineering team to build everything for you. You experiment, prototype, connect tools, test solutions and figure things out.

You enjoy building as much as analyzing, and you're motivated by the opportunity to fundamentally change how a finance organization operates.
