Job summary

Subsurface Energy Resources, located in Mojave, CA, seeks a Finance Manager to oversee Accounts Payable/Receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and tax filings. The role leads budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and reporting, while driving financial controls and strategic initiatives across the organization.

The Finance Manager will manage and develop finance staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support audits and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Honors degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years financial managerial experience managing finance and operational staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning.
• Review and oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Process payroll and entries.
• Prepare sales and use tax filings.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial results.
• Close out month-end and year-end processes.
• Develop financial models for project and overhead analysis.
• Provide financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Ensure financial controls and compliances with policies.
