Job summary

IPERS, the Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System, seeks a Management Analyst 3 to advance financial systems, data integrity, and process automation across the agency. The role requires strong project management and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with state rules.

The successful candidate will manage financial data workflows, support statutory reporting, and serve as the procurement SME for end-to-end purchasing and asset

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited U.S. college/university with a field-agnostic degree and 3+ years of related full-time work.
• Experience in project management, management analysis, data science, or business systems analysis is valued.
• Strong organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, implementation, and automation of divisional workflows and dashboards with external vendors and state agencies.
• Upload, reconcile, and validate complex accounting and member benefits data for statutory reporting.
• Serve as SME for end-to-end purchasing, RFQs/RFPs, fixed assets, and travel/expense authorizations in compliance with State rules.
• Maintain governance, conduct balance reconciliations, manage software subscriptions and user access controls.
