Job summary

Nordstrom in Seattle is seeking a Senior Manager of Finance to partner with merchandising and finance teams to drive profitability for Nordstrom Made and concessions. The role emphasizes strategic planning, forecasting, and performance insights in a fast-moving retail environment.

The hybrid Seattle position requires 4 days in the office weekly. You will lead a team, influence leaders, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a similar field.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience (retail finance preferred) with scope and accountability progression.
• 3+ years prior management and/or supervision experience; a team leader with a passion for teaching and coaching.
• Strategic thinking and effective communication with all management levels.
• Able to translate financial analysis into actionable business recommendations; strong collaboration across teams.
• Tableau, SQL and/or Power BI experience; MS Excel proficiency; Anaplan or similar tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create action plans with merchandising leadership to drive growth and profitability.
• Lead initiatives involving brand-owned inventory and forecasting accuracy.
• Oversee expense management across merchandising and provide long-term strategy and near-term forecasting.
• Partner across Finance and Merchandising with focus on sales, margin, and inventory.
• Develop financial models, analytics, and reporting tools; perform ad hoc analyses.
• Drive process improvements and reporting standardization; coach team members.
