Job summary

Layer Health is seeking a Head of Finance to be the senior financial mind inside the company — reporting to the Head of Operations and working directly with the CEO and board. This is a rare seat with outsized ownership over the financial trajectory at an inflection point, with a clear path to grow into more responsibility as the company scales.

You'll own the financial narrative, build the frameworks and models that make sense of a fast-growing business, and partner with leadership to manage

Qualifications

• 5+ years startup, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance experience.
• Ability to work with key financial and operational systems.
• Collaborates with Sales, Legal, Operations, and Tech leadership across the organization.
• Highly detail-oriented with a solid understanding of underlying models.
• Strong communicator capable of engaging with experienced investors.
• Direct exposure to fundraising, M&A, or due diligence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial narrative and build models and reporting frameworks for a fast-growing company.
• Dig deeper than topline numbers to surface real drivers of spend, growth, and risk.
• Shape capital strategy and work with CEO, leadership, and board on fundraising narratives.
• Grow into more scope and seniority as Layer Health scales toward and past its Series B.
