Transamerica Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant/Finance leader to oversee US GAAP accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of legal entities within a complex corporate structure. You will ensure timely close, accurate statements, and robust internal controls while partnering with Consolidation, External Reporting, Treasury, and FP&A teams.

The role requires 8+ years of accounting/finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities, and a strong ability to communicate

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of accounting/finance experience including three years of supervisory/management experience.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
• Organizational and prioritization skills.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned legal entities and holding companies.
• Oversee the quarterly and annual close processes for applicable legal entities, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of legal entity financial statements, reporting packages, and related disclosures.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and review legal entity results for completeness and accuracy.
• Manage annual audits, regulatory reporting, and other external reporting requirements for assigned entities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives, capital transactions, restructurings, etc. are appropriately recorded at the legal entity level.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and reporting processes.
• Lead initiatives to improve reporting efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the overall control environment.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
