Transamerica is seeking a Lead Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis to support the Director of FP&A with high-quality financial analysis, planning, and management reporting. The role links US GAAP performance, capital considerations, and KPIs to guide leadership decisions.

The position leads defined workstreams, mentors peers, and collaborates with Finance, Technology, Risk, and business units to strengthen scalable finance capabilities and reporting.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of financial analysis experience in insurance, financial services or investment management.
• Expert knowledge of accounting/finance.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strategic thinker able to discuss business/market and legislative issues at macro level.
• Organizational and prioritization skills with timely decision-making.
• Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems.

Aufgaben

• Perform and coordinate monthly and quarterly management reporting, including analysis of US GAAP results, capital considerations, KPIs, trends, variances, and drivers across an international organization.
• Prepare concise commentary and decision-useful insights for leadership, linking financial outcomes with operational performance and market conditions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis by coordinating inputs and maintaining models.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards, recurring reporting packages, and ad hoc analyses.
• Partner with Finance, Technology, Actuarial, Accounting, Capital, Risk, Data, and business units to clarify requirements and deliver analysis.
• Lead or support FP&A workstreams, coordinating contributors and escalating risks to the Director.
• Use Power BI and analytics tools to create governed reporting experiences and data warehousing support.
• Contribute to modern finance platforms and scalable data structures, including Oracle and AWS.
• Help design reliable data flows, governance, and quality standards for decision-making.
• Support SOX-related processes and controls with documentation and evidence.
• Investigate reporting errors and data anomalies; coordinate root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Evaluate emerging capabilities like AI-enabled analytics with governance and control.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
