Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 4-year college with accounting or finance focus and at least 1 year of coursework
• Willing to work standard work week
• Strong interpersonal skills including student leadership or volunteer experience

• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to tackle new projects with attention to detail
• Able to work independently or in a team
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills
• Proficient in computer data entry, databases and MS Office, especially Excel

Responsibilities

• Assist accountant to ensure client contractual requirements are met for billing and accounts receivable
• Process accounts payable for vendor invoices and keep accounts current
• Process AP for subcontractor invoices and verify lien waivers, contracts and insurance
• Assist with monthly close: post or accrue client bills and project costs
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Support data entry for project-specific vendor invoices and prepare multi-project invoices for central processing
• Provide admin support for invoice processing (vendor setup, tax certificates)
• Help prepare owner applications for payment with backup invoices
• Provide supervisors with progress reports
• Apply academic knowledge to Turner Finance environment
