Job summary

BNSF Railway in Topeka, KS is seeking an Accounting/Finance Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting under seasoned mentors. The role supports the Finance Department on real projects within the freight transportation industry.

You must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance with at least a 2.75 GPA, legally eligible to work in the United States, and ready to relocate if needed.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance with a 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Less than three years of professional work experience (internships allowed).

Responsibilities

• Preparing internal and external reports and performing account reconciliations.
• Conducting contract research and maintaining confidential information securely.
• Assisting in testing system changes and handling ad-hoc requests.
• Building relationships with customers, employees and business partners through problem solving and improvement.
