Job summary

Collins Aerospace invites an experienced enterprise architect to lead the Finance and HR application domain architecture within a hybrid Collins RTX environment. You will align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term strategy while delivering governance artifacts and integration plans.

The role emphasizes collaboration with BRMs, service owners, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, scalable solutions across the business.

Qualifications

• University degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• Mastery in Finance and/or HR application ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Workday, AutoTime, integrations, workflow tools).
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise architectures with measurable impact.
• Proven leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple business domains.
• Ability to communicate architectural concepts to senior leadership effectively.
• Strong knowledge of system integrations, data governance, security, and cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional domain architecture for Finance and HR platforms, ensuring alignment with standards and security requirements.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts: designs, diagrams, data models, views, processes, patterns, blueprints.
• Build architectural runway with sequencing, dependencies, and future-state needs.
• Develop architecture models (contextual, conceptual, logical, physical) and governance materials.
• Provide leadership across the solution lifecycle, including validations and integration support.
• Conduct trade studies, evaluate alternatives, and drive technology selection.
• Deliver architecture content for governance gates and artifact repositories.
• Support compliance/cybersecurity analyses and ATO documentation.
• Collaborate with BRMs, Service Owners, Enterprise Architecture, PMO, and cross-functional teams.
• Publish artifacts to Collins/RTX governance forums and roadmaps.
• Contribute to Annual Operating Plans and Long Range Plans with portfolio insights.
• Mentor architects and DT talent to strengthen enterprise strategic mindset.
• Foster Business Systems & Transformation architecture community.
