Job summary

Mental Health Recovery Board of Clark, Greene, & Madison Counties (MHRB) is seeking a Finance Specialist to manage day-to-day financial, payroll, HR, and administrative operations in Springfield, OH. This on-site contract role supports confidential handling of financial and employee information.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in accounting or finance and experience in government accounting or related functions, with strong MS Office and accounting system skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance required.
• Experience in government accounting or finance preferred.
• Experience with accounts payable, payroll support, fiscal administration, HR support, or related functions preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe and standard accounting systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices with proper approvals and coding.
• Investigate vendor payment issues and discrepancies.
• Process bi-weekly timesheets and payroll information.
• Coordinate employee benefits deductions and reconcile benefits billing.
• Assist with onboarding and HR system setup.
• Prepare annual operations budget, projections, analyses, and reports.
• Monitor budget accounts and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Maintain personnel, benefits, and other records.
