The Muskegon County Road Commission seeks a qualified Director of Finance & HR to lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, payroll, accounts payable, tax, and audits, while guiding HR functions such as recruitment, benefits, and performance management.

The role also provides high-level IT oversight and training coordination, with emphasis on controls, accuracy, and transparent communication with management, the Board, staff, vendors, and the public.

Formación

• Bachelor degree with 5+ years in relevant area (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with management, officials and the public.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all financial operations: accounting, budgeting, reporting, payroll, AP, tax and audits.
• Direct Human Resources functions: personnel records, policy development, recruitment, performance management, benefits, compensation, workforce planning, employee development.
• Provide high-level IT oversight: hardware/software procurement, vendor coordination, and company-wide training.
• Communicate effectively with management, Board members, employees, vendors, and the public.
