Road Commission for Oakland County in Michigan is hiring a Customer Service Director to lead the Customer Services department, develop policies, and serve as a liaison with elected officials and the public.

The Director will oversee staff, manage budgets, monitor permits, weight restrictions, and program initiatives, reporting to the Executive Managing Director and shaping service excellence for Oakland County residents.

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff including hiring/termination, scheduling, training, and performance appraisals.
• Evaluates department activities and devises strategies for improvement.
• Participates in organizational planning with strategic/financial plans and goal development.
• Develops and manages the annual departmental budget and monitors expenditures.
• Monitors resident concerns, permits, and weight restrictions within Cityworks and ensures data accuracy.
• Coordinates programs such as the chloride program and Adopt-A-Road.
• Engages with elected officials, community leaders, private organizations, citizens, and advisory groups to maintain/improve RCOC reputation.
