Job summary

Omega-Plastics-LLC is seeking an accounting professional to support the Finance Department with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger tasks. The role includes processing vendor invoices, PO creation, and bank reconciliations in a manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, perform cost variance analyses, and assist in monthly close and audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience, with working knowledge of AR/AP and GL processes.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accounting and administrative tasks in support of Finance Department functions.
• Coordinates AR and AP activities, matches invoices to packing lists, maintains electronic databases.
• Processes AR/AP transactions from vendor invoices through payment.
• Creates and processes purchase orders for department and assists other departments as necessary.
• Retrieves information from bank website and processes receipts through electronic system.
• Performs general ledger maintenance tasks and monitors accuracy of ledgers.
• Supports cost variance analyses, financial reporting, and monthly reconciliations including bank and credit card statements.
• Uses databases (e.g., QAD) for analysis and planning.
• Assists with month-end close, quarterly and annual audits, and export documentation.
• Communicates status with supervisor and other departments; transmits data and generates reports.
