Sunoco LP is seeking an Associate Analyst - Finance to support forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis for the U.S. Fuel Distribution segment.

The role collaborates with Accounting, Operations, Sales, and Commercial teams to deliver timely reports and insights that drive decisions. Responsibilities include maintaining monthly reports, performing variance analyses, identifying performance improvements, and supporting ad hoc analyses and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience (e.g., FP&A, Business Partnership, Consulting).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; link financial results to operational drivers.
• Ability to work with large data sets; experience with complex or unstructured data preferred.
• Detail oriented and highly organized; able to develop cross-department relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with the U.S. Fuel Distribution operations team to provide financial reporting, budgets, and projections aligned with company goals.
• Maintain monthly recurring reports supporting analysis of commercial results.
• Provide variance analysis of actual vs forecast operating results and explain the numbers.
• Identify opportunities for performance tracking improvements for base and acquired businesses and support implementation.
• Deliver timely, accurate reporting and validate data before distribution.
• Support continuous improvement by streamlining recurring reporting processes.
• Translate complex financial data into actionable insights to drive business value.
• Understand how operational activity impacts P&L and respond to related questions.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and support strategic initiatives (e.g., M&A).
• Build strong relationships within the team and with key internal customers.
