Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Staff Business Intelligence Analyst (Finance) to spearhead cost data analytics and COGS measurement. You will scope, build, and enhance analytics, driving robust financial insights across departments.

This role reports to the Director of Data and requires a self‑starter with strong Python and SQL skills. You will collaborate with Software, Finance, Planning, Production, and Quality teams to optimize cost data, develop governance, and influence strategic processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or Economics.
• 6+ years of experience in data analytics, cost modeling, and finance.
• Deep understanding of COA, GL, cost elements, and linkages to COGS.
• Experience with overhead allocation methods and costing systems.
• Experience with BOMs and routing structures.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain robust analyses to improve reporting on financial metrics across the company.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design scalable analytics and solution architectures.
• Review processes to improve data collection and analytics for manufacturing costs.
• Lead cross-functional reviews to align program deliverables with schedules.
• Stay current with industry trends in data analytics and COGS.
• Understand the DAPS business and its interfaces across sales, planning, and production.
