Job summary

NW Staffing in Portland, OR is seeking a senior accounting leader to shape financial strategy and manage a high-performing team. You will oversee accounting operations, drive forecasting, and implement scalable controls to support sustainable growth.

The role requires 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership, GAAP expertise, and proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities to influence cross-functional decisions and optimize

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 5+ years progressive accounting leadership.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, GL, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees; excellent cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting, including payables/receivables, payroll, GL, month-end and year-end close.
Lead FP&A: budgets, forecasts, cash flow, financial models, KPI reports.
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations; coordinate with external accountants.
Drive process improvements; partner with leadership to improve pricing and operational efficiency.
Lead and develop the accounting team with documented procedures and cross-training.
