Job summary

F.L. Putnam is seeking a Director of Finance to join our Corporate Finance Team in Massachusetts.

You will partner with the COO/CFO and CEO to drive financial operations, planning, budgeting and analysis for a growing wealth management firm. The role requires expertise in the RIA model, leading a finance and accounting team, delivering monthly and annual reports, and supporting strategic growth through mergers, acquisitions, and capital planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing finance and accounting professionals.
• Experience within wealth management, asset management, financial services, or RIA organizations strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or corporate development initiatives preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO, CFO/COO and CAIO on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth opportunities.
• Direct the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
• Maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting policies; coordinate audits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance and accounting team.
