Job summary

F.L. Putnam is seeking a Director of Finance to join our Corporate Finance Team in Massachusetts.

You will partner with the COO/CFO and CEO to drive financial operations, planning, budgeting and analysis for a growing wealth management firm. The role requires expertise in the RIA model, leading a finance and accounting team, delivering monthly and annual reports, and supporting strategic growth through mergers, acquisitions, and capital planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing finance and accounting professionals.
Experience within wealth management, asset management, financial services, or RIA organizations strongly preferred.
Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or corporate development initiatives preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO, CFO/COO and CAIO on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth opportunities.
Direct the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages.
Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
Maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting policies; coordinate audits.
Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance and accounting team.
