Job summary

Pioneer Resources is seeking a Director of Finance to lead and manage all finance and accounting activities, including reporting, analysis, and forecasting for growth. You will be a key member of the Management Team and supervise the Finance Team.

The role requires extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial planning, and budgeting, with formal credentials preferred (MBA/CPA/CMA). Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to interfacing with executive leadership and boards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• MBA, CPA or CMA preferred for senior leadership.
• 5–10+ years of full-charge bookkeeping and accounting experience.
• 3+ years supervising staff.
• Experience in financial planning and budget management principles.
• Experience with Blackbaud/ FE is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient in MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and consolidation per GAAP.
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and budget variance analysis.
• Oversee daily finance staff performance and provide coaching.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with SOPs and GAAP.
• Develop budgets, overhead rates, and resource allocations.
• Present financial status to CEO and Boards on a periodic basis.
