Chaffin Luhana LLP seeks a Finance Director to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will partner with the CFO, COO, and practice-area leaders to provide reliable analyses that support strategic decisions and effective operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in finance/accounting or related field, with MBA/CPA preferred, and 8+ years in senior financial management, ideally in the legal sector. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• MBA, CPA or similar qualification highly desirable.
• 8+ years in senior financial managerial positions, preferably in the legal sector.
• Strong understanding of law firm financial management, accounting, and billing.
• Proficient in financial software, BI applications, and databases.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High ethical standards and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Own financial projections, forecasts, and planning models.
• Develop revenue projections with leadership for timing and expenses.
• Maintain the firm's cash flow forecast.
• Develop models to evaluate growth, staffing, and profitability.
• Lead annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Manage forecasts, budget-to-actual analysis, and financial models.
• Oversee banking relationships and related reporting.
• Support analysis for new business structures and expansions.
• Coordinate revenue/expense analysis by state and multistate tax planning.
• Prepare forward-looking analyses for CFO and executives.
• Improve financial visibility with department leaders and accountability.
