Rochester Housing Authority seeks a Director of Finance in Rochester, NY to lead all fiscal operations, budgeting, accounting, and reporting. The role guides staff and collaborates with the Executive Director and Board to ensure strong financial stewardship.

The position oversees annual budgets, cash flow projections, audits, investments, accounts payable/receivable, and regulatory compliance, including HUD guidelines and grant management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 4+ years experience also acceptable.
• Bachelor’s in Business Administration with accounting credits plus 4+ years experience may qualify.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.

Responsabilités

• Supervises professional and clerical staff and assigns work.
• Prepares and submits the annual budget to funding agencies.
• Oversees financial statements and regulatory submissions.
• Oversees monthly General Ledger postings.
• Oversees the insurance program and coverage needs.
• Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
• Manages surplus funds investments per guidelines.
• Analyzes cash flow projections and optimizes earnings.
• Coordinates audits with outside agencies and staff.
• Prepares financial statements for Board and regulators.
• Monitors fixed assets and grant funding.
