SHM Architects in Dallas is seeking a Finance Director to lead our accounting and financial planning efforts. You will partner with the owners and leadership, driving budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with hands-on Ajera expertise for project accounting and data integrity.

You will oversee cash flow, billing, and tax compliance while guiding the Accounting Department and ensuring strong internal controls. A future CFO path is envisioned as the firm grows.

Formación

• Bachelor-level degree in accounting, finance or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive accounting/finance with leadership in professional services.
• Expert knowledge of Deltek Ajera and project accounting capabilities.
• Experience leading accounting/finance functions with budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; strategic business partner.

Responsabilidades

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, annual budget, and reforecasts.
• Oversee monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain Ajera data integrity, reporting, and project accounting workflows.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, billing, and collections.
• Advise owners on proposals, contracts, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Lead Accounting Department with clear workflows and controls.
• Ensure internal controls, policies, and financial close processes.
• Oversee tax compliance and payroll-related reporting; 401(k) coordination.
• Coordinate IT budgeting/purchasing and vendor relations.
