Job summary

LIV Development, a leading multifamily developer, is seeking a Director of Finance to guide the financial operations across its Birmingham, AL headquarters. You will partner with the CFO to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting while supporting strategic decisions with robust analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or equivalent certifications strongly considered.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate/investment.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Accounting and Finance team.
• Oversee monthly budgeting and financial statement reporting for LIV and portfolio entities.
• Ensure accuracy of financial systems, ledgers, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Oversee tax reporting across LIV’s portfolio with external advisors.
• Coordinate lender reporting and investor communications.
• Develop investment waterfall models and track returns.
• Involve in project dispositions and financial modeling.
• Maintain financial forecasts and liquidity analysis.
• Collaborate with asset management, construction, and development teams on reporting.
