Job summary

LIV Development LLC, based in Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Architect to lead design direction across LIV projects. You will shape the architectural vision using precedent imagery and sketches, guiding internal teams and external consultants to maintain design intent and cost-efficiency.

You’ll collaborate across disciplines, develop early-phase studies, and oversee design development through construction, while balancing creativity with technical excellence and a strong user experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect required.
• 5+ years of architectural design and coordination across project phases.
• Strong conceptual design and visualization skills.
• Proficiency in Revit preferred.
• Experience with 3D rendering software preferred.
• Interest in Interior Design preferred.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and proactive problem solver.
• Collaborative team player with the flexibility to engage across departments and applications.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design direction.

Responsibilities

• Help establish the holistic design vision for new developments.
• Contribute to early-phase architectural efforts and site/massing studies.
• Fully design and detail unique project features or structures.
• Guide external partners through design development and construction documentation, ensuring adherence to design intent and LIV standards.
• Provide design oversight during construction by reviewing submittals and RFIs.
• Lead value engineering and cost-conscious design solutions.
• Think holistically about user experience to set LIV properties apart.
