Job summary

LMG Staffing Solutions, based in Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a Director of Finance to lead financial operations, government contract accounting, compliance, and reporting for a manufacturing and distribution environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep Deltek Costpoint expertise, 7+ years of progressive experience with government contractors, and a proven ability to partner with executives to drive process improvements and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CFA/CGFM/CMA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Expert-level experience with Deltek Costpoint is required.
• Extensive experience supporting government contractors and knowledge of DCAA/FAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Deltek Costpoint accounting system, including project accounting and configuration.
• Oversee timesheet processing, labor distribution, and monthly PTO accruals.
• Handle government contract invoicing through WAWF, IPP, GSA, and other systems.
• Process vendor invoices, payments, and vendor records.
• Manage accounts receivable, customer receipts, and collections.
• Perform bank transactions and reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile revenue, billing, project income, and contract profitability.
• Maintain cost accounting, indirect rates, and G&A allocations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA, CFA, CGFM, or CMA designation preferred

Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience
