Job summary

LMG Staffing Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a Director of Finance to lead financial operations for a government contracting client. You will oversee Costpoint, invoicing, and financial reporting in a manufacturing/distribution setting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in financial management, deep GAAP knowledge, and strong leadership. This on-site role in Fredericksburg, VA offers growth and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have CPA/CFA/CGFM/CMA designation preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting/financial management.
• Expert Deltek Costpoint experience and government contractor background.
• Strong knowledge of DCAA/FAR and cost-plus accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage Deltek Costpoint including project accounting and config.
• Oversee timesheets, labor distribution, and monthly PTO accruals.
• Handle government contract invoicing via WAWF, IPP, GSA, etc.
• Process vendor invoices, payments, and maintain records.
• Manage accounts receivable, receipts, and collections.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, cash flow, budgets.
• Support inventory accounting and manufacturing/ distribution finance.
• Drive finance process improvements and internal controls.
• Coordinate with executives to monitor burn rates and contract performance.
• Lead for DCAA audits readiness and GAAP/compliance.
