Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Finance in Piney River, VA to lead accounting operations and financial strategy. This on-site role reports to the executive team and guides FP&A, controls, and reporting across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a CPA preferred and at least 10 years in accounting/finance with leadership experience. CPA preferred; ERP and Excel proficiency required; competitive benefits and bonuses available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with FP&A focus.
• 5+ years of managing and developing finance staff.
• Strong background in financial accounting, GAAP, internal controls, and risk management.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and KPI reporting.
• Proven ability to manage audits, banking relationships, loans, grants, and insurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Analyze financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities to guide decisions.
• Monitor cash flow, profitability, and KPIs to ensure long-term health.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage relationships with outside accountants, auditors, insurers, financial institutions, and government agencies.
• Oversee loans, grants, risk management, and insurance programs.
• Lead and develop the Finance and IT teams.
• Provide the CEO with regular financial and IT updates and reporting.
