Job summary

El Dorado Irrigation District is seeking a visionary finance executive to serve as Director of Finance and District Treasurer. You’ll lead a talented team, guide long-range financial planning, and partner with the General Manager and Board to fund critical infrastructure in El Dorado County.

Eight years of supervisory experience and a strong background in public-sector accounting are essential. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required, and CPA is desirable.

Qualifications

• Eight years of supervisory or higher-level experience administering a comprehensive finance program, including three years in management.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or public administration, or related field.
• CPA license desirable; California driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, budgeting, utility billing, and fleet operations across the district.
• Oversee long-range financial planning, capital projects, rate studies, and debt financing.
• Present the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (ACFR) to the Board and manage external relationships.
