Job summary

El Dorado Irrigation District seeks a visionary Director of Finance and District Treasurer to guide long-range financial planning, lead a talented team, and partner with the General Manager and Board to fund infrastructure for the next generation.

You'll oversee accounting, budgeting, utility finance, and capital programs in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Lake Tahoe, driving transparency and financial resilience for the District.

Qualifications

• Eight years of supervisory or higher-level experience administering a comprehensive finance program.
• Three years in a management capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or public administration.
• CPA is desirable.
• Strong leadership and administrative judgment in a public-sector environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for accounting, budgeting, and treasury functions.
• Lead long-range financial planning and capital financing for district infrastructure.
• Present clear financial statements and analyses to the Board and GM.
• Oversee development and execution of rate studies and financial policies.
• Manage a multi-disciplinary finance team.
