Job summary

Albuquerque Housing Authority is seeking a Finance Director to lead the agency's accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. The role acts as CFO, ensuring regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and liaison with HUD, lenders, and auditors.

AHA manages multiple housing programs and requires strong financial leadership and governance experience. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 7+ years in finance with 4+ years in leadership, and a NM driver's license.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, and grant or fund accounting.
• Four or more years of supervisory or management experience.
• Valid New Mexico driver's license within sixty days of onboarding.
• Expert command of GAAP, GASB, and FASB standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting, budgeting, payroll, financial reporting, procurement, and investing functions.
• Direct policies, procedures, and work standards for the Finance Department.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, IRS, and funders' requirements; coordinate audits.
• Advise Executive Director and Board; manage cash, budgeting, and forecasts.
