Job summary

BioMarin is offering the Financial Development Program (FDP), a 24‑month, two‑rotation program designed to accelerate your growth as a finance and business leader within a premier biotech company.

Participants gain hands‑on experience across corporate finance, reporting, audit, treasury, and operations, with coaching, training, and a strong internal network to advance their careers.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in Finance or Accounting, GPA 3.2+
• 0–2 years of work experience
• Located in SF Bay Area or willing to relocate
• Full-time, 40 hours/week

Summary

The BioMarin Financial Development Program (FDP) is designed to accelerate your growth as a finance and business leader while providing meaningful exposure to the biotech industry. Participants gain hands‑on functional experience, build leadership capabilities, and contribute to impactful work across Finance. In addition to on‑job learning, participants benefit from coaching, specialized training, and community engagement.

The FDP is a 24‑month program consisting of two 12‑month rotations. Rotations may include corporate finance, R&D finance, financial reporting, accounting, audit, treasury, and operations. Upon completion of the program, participants will be well positioned to advance their careers within Finance and across the broader organization.

Required Skills

• Motivated, organized and highly skilled with today’s systems, applications, and platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
• Independent worker and initiative-taker who enjoys problem solving and takes pride and accountability in their work product
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage various tasks, priorities, and timelines and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, volunteer, or extracurricular experiences, including taking ownership, influencing others, collaborating across teams, and delivering results with accountability
• Curiosity, learning agility, and enthusiasm for building a career in Finance

Qualifications/Eligibility

• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
• 0-2 years work experience
• Located in the San Francisco, CA, Bay Area, or willingness to relocate
• Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours a week
