Job summary

American Express is seeking a FDG Analyst within the Financial Reporting Quality Assurance Organization (FRQA) to manage data under governance for Finance. You will partner with Finance Technology Transformation and other teams to drive data governance and data quality, building trusted information for critical processes and accounting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Finance experience; Controllership preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, AI, and Excel for large-scale data analysis.
• Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Self-motivated with strong project and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Data governance and data quality experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Finance Data Governance in compliance with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy.
• Produce data quality scorecards, dashboards, analytical reports, and attestation packages.
• Identify CDEs and data sources and translate governance requirements into data requirements.
• Perform root-cause-analysis of data quality issues and assist in remediation.
• Support strategic improvements to data assessment processes and data quality tools.
• Support Regulatory Reporting needs with upstream/downstream data partners and technologies.
