Job summary

Nationwide seeks a Finance Data Governance Consultant to improve data quality, governance, and controls across Controllership and Finance. You will partner with Finance and IT to design and implement complex data solutions, ensuring trusted financial information for reporting and compliance.

The role emphasizes data governance, analysis, and collaboration with business units and technology teams to deliver strategic finance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or paralleled work experience in business, accounting, MIS or related field.
• Eight years of progressive experience in enterprise-scale business transformation and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data management and warehousing; able to relate data to finance controls.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Finance partners to analyze, design, and implement financial data solutions.
• Lead complex financial projects with scope, budget, and timelines; assist in resource planning.
• Manage Finance Data Governance data elements and reference data; enforce standards and controls.
• Ensure data flows follow approval and architecture standards; oversee data architecture usage and access.
• Provide operational support for Finance back office processes, reports and controls.
