Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in the United States seeks an experienced Finance Data Governance Consultant to establish and operationalize governance across Finance and Technology in a fast-moving, greenfield environment.

The role will define governance standards, document critical Finance data and lineage, create data quality controls, and support priority Finance data products using SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, and leading catalog platforms.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in data governance, Finance data management, Finance transformation, financial systems
• Strong ability to establish or improve a data governance capability within a complex enterprise
• Deep understanding of Finance processes including GL, consolidation, planning, and reconciliation
• Experience documenting data definitions, rules, mappings, hierarchies, lineage, and data quality requirements
• Ability to collaborate with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, data engineering, BI, security, and enterprise technology teams

Responsibilities

• Establish the Finance Data Governance Foundation with clear roles, ownership, and operating cadences
• Build Finance data inventory, glossary, and metadata publication workflows
• Document data lineage, transformation rules, and reconciliation points across source to reporting
• Define practical data quality standards, thresholds, and monitoring
• Govern Finance master data, reference data, hierarchies, and change-control requirements
• Support governance for SAP financial data, consolidation data, and downstream reports
• Drive adoption through workshops, executive updates, and training materials
