Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an experienced Data Governance professional to join the Finance data organization. The role focuses on defining data requirements, ensuring data quality, and enabling trusted analytics across investment-related systems.

Hybrid in Columbus, OH with 3 days in the office and 2 remote days. Requires strong collaboration with data owners, technology partners, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data and governance outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in data management or governance
• Proficient in data acquisition, wrangling and visualization techniques/tools
• Experience engaging business leaders and data architects to fill gaps in data and analytics environments

Responsibilities

• Identify and translate data strategy opportunities into measurable goals and KPIs
• Collaborate on acquisition, curation, and consumption of data for analytical and operational uses
• Map end-to-end data flows and assess impacts on processes and interfaces
• Promote transparency around data issues and remediation with business and technology partners
• Ensure data governance standards are followed and data access requests are governed appropriately
