Cardinal Health is seeking a Data Engineer within the Digital Solutions Finance team to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architecture supporting analytics and operations for Finance. The role emphasizes Databricks and Google Cloud Platform to ingest, process, and transform large datasets.

You will work with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data assets, implement quality checks, monitor pipelines, and optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM).
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks and GCP services.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting for data reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and establish best practices for data engineering.
• Perform performance tuning to optimize processing times and cost.
• Assist in migrating legacy data workflows to modern cloud platforms.
