Job summary

Excellus BCBS in upstate New York seeks a Financial Data Consultant to support the Finance division with Workday data models, configurations, and planning tools. This role collaborates across the organization to ensure quality and timeliness of financial transactions, reporting, and analysis.

The position covers administration of Workday modules, data translation, and responsibility for continuous improvement of finance applications and processes. Remote work may be considered case-by-case.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of direct experience with finance systems and accounting.
• Working knowledge of an ERP application and/or budgeting platform; Workday and Adaptive Planning strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of finance and accounting acumen and specialized skill in maintenance and administration of finance applications.
• Strong data analytical skill with finance/healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of process improvement principles.
• Experience with MS Excel, data analysis and formatting.

Responsibilities

• Participates in administration and configuration across all finance technologies including Workday Accounting Center and Prism.
• Supports and tests configuration and deployment of new projects and enhancements.
• Translates business requirements into technology solutions for finance processes.
• Acts as a consultant to Finance to improve process, quality and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintains accounting translation tables and rules for new products and regulatory needs.
• Identifies data issues and recommends mitigation solutions.
• Develops small-to-medium features and resolves system issues.
• Maintains proficiency with finance data management and related systems.
